Pierre Cardin Haute Couture Dress and Hood,  1960s


Black haute couture silk velvet dress with high neck, straps down the exposed back, bust darts, and gathering at the waist. The ensemble comes with a matching silk velvet hood that closes with double breasted oversized woven buttons and is lined with black silk. 

This lot also contains a black and white photographic print featuring the dress on a mannequin as it was prepared for an exhibition. The image appears to be taken in the 1980-90s.
